Add Nodes
To add a node object, e.g. junctions, using the drag-and-drop system:
1. Add a point feature layer in Arc Map to represent the model junctions.
2. Select the layer in TOC. Drag it into the GeoSWMM Object Panel and release the mouse button over the Junctions. The object property mapping window will appear.
3. Assign the property fields accurately and click Ok.
4. Now click on Save to update the model and store the information in the geodatabase.
To add junctions using the conventional ArcGIS editing technique:
1. Select the Junctions layer in the SWMM geodatabase in the ArcMap TOC.
2. Right-click and choose Start Editing.
3. Now, create or edit the features in the selected layer using the options provided in the ArcMap Editor toolbar.
4. Assign the required attributes for the created or edited features.
5. After feature editing is complete, save and stop editing the layer.
6. Now click on the Reload button in the GeoSWMM toolbar to update the model.
Similarly, the outfalls, dividers, and storage units can also be added to a GeoSWMM project.
