Objective

The primary objective of this tutorial is to examine the effects of Low Impact Development (LID) controls in the GeoSWMM model which are employed to simulate sustainable stormwater management practices that reduce runoff volume and promote infiltration.

Infiltration trenches and filter strips, two commonly used LIDs, on the study area's runoff due to the 2-hour synthetic storm events with return periods of 2-years, 10-years, and 100-years.
