Surcharge and Flooding of Nodes and Conduits

Figure 4.3 shows several examples of surcharge and flooding. Figure 4.3(a) shows conduit surcharge; Figure 3.3(b) shows conduit surcharge, node surcharge and node flooding; Figure 3.3(c) shows conduit surcharge and node surcharge; and Figure 4.3(d) shows conduit surcharge, node surcharge and node flooding. Note that in the case of the open channel (Figures 4.3(a) and 3.3(b)) node surcharge occurs simultaneously with node flooding.
