ID Mapper Tool
The ID Mapper Tool enables users to automatically assign Inlet and Outlet node to corresponding Links. In case of large models with a high number of nodes and links, manually assigning the Inlet and Outlet nodes can be tedious and time consuming. The ID Mapper Tool can be used to make this task easier. The tool requires all node features and all link features as input. In addition, attribute column names will be used to specify where the tool will preserve the inlet and outlet node name for each conduit. The interface of this tool looks like Figure 6.16.

The characteristics of the required input features in the ID Mapper Tool are described below.
Node Layer
Node Layer is the input field of the All Node Features (Junctions, Outfalls, Dividers and Storage Units) which contains the Inlet and Outlet names.
Node ID Field
Node ID Field is the attribute column name which contains the node names.
Link Layer
Link Layer Is the input field of all links (Conduits, Pumps, Orifices, Weirs and Outlets) features.
Inlet Field
Inlet Field is the attribute column name of the Inlet nodes. The appropriate column will be selected and created prior to the operation of this tool,
Outlet Field
Outlet Field is the attribute column name of the Outlet nodes. The appropriate column will be created prior to the operation of this tool.
Set Snap Tolerance
Set Snap Tolerance is the distance within which the node snaps to the link. If the node being snapped to a vertex or edge of the link is within the distance the user sets, the node automatically snaps to the corresponding link. The snap tolerance value is set in the map linear unit.
