Add Visual Objects

There are two ways to add the visual objects in a GeoSWMM project:

  1. Model Building by Browsing Input Feature Layers
  2. Model Building in ArcGIS Pro map Using Standard GIS Editor Tab

Add Rain Gages

To add rain gages using the ArcGIS Pro editing technique:

  1. Select the Rain Gages layer in the SWMM geodatabase in the ArcGIS Pro map TOC.
  2. Right-click and choose Start Editing.
  3. Now create or edit the features in the selected layer using the options provided in the ArcGIS Pro Edit Section.
  4. Assign the required attributes for the created or edited features.
  5. After feature editing is complete, save and stop editing the layer.
  6. Now click on the Reload button in the GeoSWMM tab to update the model.

Add Subcatchments

To add subcatchments using the conventional ArcGIS Pro edit section:

  1. Select the Subcatchments layer in the SWMM geodatabase in the ArcGIS Pro map TOC.
  2. Right-click and choose Start Editing.
  3. Now create or edit the features in the selected layer using the options provided in the ArcGIS Pro Edit Section.
  4. Assign the required attributes for the created or edited features.
  5. After feature editing is complete, save and stop editing the layer.
  6. Now click on the Reload button in the GeoSWMM tab to update the model.

Add Nodes

To add junctions using the conventional ArcGIS Pro edit section:

  1. Select the Junctions layer in the SWMM geodatabase in the ArcGIS Pro map TOC.
  2. Left-click and go to Edit Section and Start Editing.
  3. Now create or edit the features in the selected layer using the options provided in the ArcGIS Pro Edit Section.
  4. Assign the required attributes for the created or edited features.
  5. After feature editing is complete, save and stop editing the layer.
  6. Now click on the Reload button in the GeoSWMM tab to update the model.

Similarly, the outfalls, dividers and storage units can also be added in a GeoSWMM project.

To add conduits using the conventional ArcGIS Pro map editing technique:

  1. Select the Conduits layer in the SWMM geodatabase in the ArcGIS Pro map TOC.
  2. Right-click and choose Start Editing.
  3. Now create or edit the features in the selected layer using the options provided in the ArcGIS Pro map Edit Section.
  4. Assign the required attributes for the created or edited features.
  5. After feature editing is complete, save and stop editing the layer.
  6. Now click on the Reload button in the GeoSWMM tab to update the model.

Similarly, the pumps, orifices, weirs and outlets can also be added to a GeoSWMM project.
